Reviews
Always a treasure to grab an order or dine in at this little gem. Tasty food and quite a selection. The service is always friendly and quick to assist with any questions. The style is simple, but has space to accommodate a good size party.
One of the best Chinese restaurants I've been to hands down. We got the green tea and it was loose leaf so it tasted very flavorful. We got the fried shrimp wontons which were the star - wrapper was crisp and perfectly light and fried with juicy shrimp inside. The pork dumpling dim sum was good as well. Lastly we got the orange chicken which was crispy with great sauce and a generous portion - I liked that the pieces were bigger than usual and the batter less chunky compared to other restaurants I've been to. Our servers were so kind and even had the orange chicken remade because she was worried it was dry the first time. Cute place and seems to be family run - will be back the next time we're in San Antonio!
Saturday night dim sum for dinner with no wait! Let's do it. And...freshly prepared and delicious! Enjoy!
This is the only dim sum restaurant I've been to in San Antonio and honestly, I don't need to look anywhere else. Thank goodness because I don't think there are many dim sum joints to choose from here. So what if it's located in a sketchy strip mall and next to a gas station?! The service is amazing, the restaurant is clean and the food is soooo good! Our must haves are the siu mai, har gow, pork and chive dumplings, soy sauce noodles, chicken feet and salty fish & chicken fried rice. We order so much, we have enough leftovers for dinner, which I have no complaints about! It does get busy, but they recently opened up the whole dining room so now there's more tables and they have a few large tables for the bigger groups. So I haven't experienced a wait at all on my last few visits. Parking can get tough and the parking spaces are so small, but those are the only cons to this place which is out of the restaurant's control. This is one of my favorite restaurants here in SATX, we come here every month. My husband would go here every weekend if he could, but I don't want to get sick of this place! Lol. I've only been here for dim sum, but I'd like to come here and try their dinner menu sometime!
I have been here two times. They have increased prices when I came the 2nd time(to $5-$6ish a dish depending on size S,M,L). Quick note, this place does not offer dim sum in the traditional dim sum carts. You order through a form! Dim sum restaurants are a treasure here as there is Service 3/5: Service here can be a bit on the slow side because they seem to be understaffed on the very busy weekends. However, the staff here are very sweet and I can tell they try their best to attend to everyone. The place seems decently clean, but wish there was more of an ambiance/ decor. Food 4/5: Comparing this dim sum place to Golden Wok, it is smaller than Golden Wok and lacks decor. However, I will say that the flavors here to me, were more flavorful and took on more of the traditional dim sum flavors than Golden Wok. Their shu mai and rice rolls were good! If you're craving dim sum and in a smaller party, I would recommend this place. If you have a big party (7+) and want the traditional feel of seeing the carts go around, I would not recommend coming here on the weekend as service can be slow
